We write to you today because of the utmost importance of this year’s election for Governor of Mississippi.
Over the past 50 years, the four of us have individually served at different times as Chairman of the Mississippi Republican Party. We are each convinced that Bill Waller, Jr., is the right person to be the next Governor of our state.
With so many important issues at stake, and the Democrats mounting a robust list of candidates for statewide office, it is imperative that Republicans nominate a strong conservative with the right values and best ability to win the general election in November. That candidate is Bill Waller, Jr.
He has exemplified a commitment to conservative principles during his 21 years of service on the Mississippi Supreme Court including 10 years as Chief Justice on the state’s highest court.
During his most recent election campaigns to the Supreme Court, he was endorsed by the Mississippi Republican Party. In addition to holding the highest position in the judicial branch of state government, he is also a Brigadier General in the Mississippi National Guard with more than 30 years of commissioned service.
Bill Waller, Jr., is running for Governor at a critical time with the sole and sincere motivation to make a positive difference for our state. Since he began his campaign for Governor, he has been traveling the state discussing important, pressing issues that must be addressed, including infrastructure, health care and workforce training for economic growth.
Republicans face a massive challenge in November and we have to face it head on. Attorney General Jim Hood will be the Democrat nominee in the general election. Republicans have had several good candidates in the past for Attorney General but none have defeated Jim Hood.
It’s going to take the right Republican candidate who can bring conservatives and independents together in order to win in November. Bill Waller, Jr. has the unique ability and personal skills to accomplish this goal. His heart is truly in the right place—because he’s running for Governor at a time when Mississippi needs him most.
We humbly ask that you learn more about Bill Waller, Jr., at his campaign website at www.billwallerjr.com and that you strongly consider supporting his campaign. Thank you.
